The Pepsi site was most definitely made for people that are wanting to learn about Pepsi and their achievements, franchise a distributing company that is distributing Pepsi, and about purchasing the drink.

As for the distinguishment of facts from opinions, there are not many opinions on the site at all. In fact, all of the information is fact about the achievements and the purchase options of Pepsi. The information, in addition, does not present much bias, but it does seem that it is conveying the message that "Pepsi is the best". In other words, they want people to believe that they are better than Coca-Cola.

Figuring out when the page was made, or when it was revised was impossible. This is because all of the content on the home page was flash content. This means that it was not text, it was made it Adobe flash, and this is why you cannot find out when the page was made.

Pepsi is responsible for their web site, and their web designers made the whole site. Because the whole web site is about Pepsi, the author (Pepsi) has great qualification to write about this topic. They do provide contact information - both phone numbers and an email address - to make it possible to check the legitimacy of the author. Pepsi also sponsors their own site, along with NASCAR, as Pepsi has a NASCAR. No sources are mentioned by this site, because all of the information is by Pepsi, and about Pepsi. This site also has a domain extention of .com. This tells us that Pepsi created this site for commercial uses, most likely wanting people to buy their product so that they can make money.

Examples of other sites that have information about Pepsi are Wikipedia, Amazon.com, and The Pepsi Bottling Group. The information on these sites is not the same a the information provided by Pepsi. Pepsi is more informative, while the others are mostly trying to sell Pepsi to you. These other sources are mostly valid. Wikipedia has been said to be invalid, but it does have some good information.
