The use of color is consistent, from the toolbar to the product's color. There is a consistent font for the toolbar; however, for the pages there is a variey of font sizes. The colors add to the purpose off the site, to sell technology. Yes, the color helps to convey the purpose. The site was created to sell Apple products. I can distinguish facts from opinion. The buttons caught my eye first. There is the logo at the top, buttons (store, mac, iPod, iPhone, Downloads, Support) and a search bar. There is a news headline at the bottom. The silver color, shiny tone, and the 3D button effect all signify that apple is strong in technology. The images add slight value because they show the products. The page drawed in 1/2 a second, but it was worth the way. The text siginifies technology again. The toolbar at the top. It is used for navigation. The repetition of the navigation bar helps the website. The placement of the navigation is very consistent throughout the website. |
