Usa.gov Evaluation
I'm analyzing a website called Usa.gov. The website is made for you to learn more about government stuff.
Content
There is a lot of content on the site. There is so much content, that I wasn't able to look at a quarter of the things. It is proffesional, and most of the things that I looked at weren't biased. The thing that hadn't been updated for the longest was from January 30, 2008. The latest that something was revised was in September 10, 2008. There are other sources on the site and another website that was about the same topic was hawaii.gov.
Visual Layout
When I first went to the site, a the logo caught my eye, and then a picture below it about things that are happening in the US. At that time, it was a hurricane, but I think they update it weekly. The banner is a picture of an american flag and the logo is Government Made Easy. The colors are all the same. It is red, white, and blue. The pictures add value to the content. The page loads quickly, it only takes about a half of a second. The logo, banner, and navigation stay in the same place everytime you go onto a different page.
